Festival of the Future | Europe between strategic autonomy and new globalization

11-11-2021 | News

Exactly one week to go to the start of the new edition of Festival del Futuro. The appointment is scheduled from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 November in Verona and in streaming (registration is open on official site). In our approach to the three days we have summarized, also with the words of the speakers, the main issues that will be addressed. Among these could not miss Europe and the fate of a continent first hit by the 2008 crisis, then by the pandemic and now called to rise again with a new development model. The Next Generation EU sees Italy as the protagonist in green and digital investments. We will talk about this and much more Friday 19th November, from 9:15, during the panel Europe between strategic autonomy and new globalization.

Among the speakers there will also be the editorialist and journalist of the Corriere della Sera, Danilo Taino, who had been the guest of an episode of our podcast (find them all here). Among the many transitions taking place in the world, there is also that towards a new one multilateralism: after the years of bilateralism heralded by former US president, Donald Trump, Europe is called to act as a single player, with a strong and consistent voice, to have a concrete impact on decisions at global tables. Whether it is an ecological transition or something else, the fate of the old continent seems to be played out on a protagonism that throws selfishness and particular interests behind it.
