A new great success for the Festival del Futuro, the event promoted by Eccellenze d'impresa, from Harvard Business Review Italia and from Athesis publishing group. The 2022 edition, which took place from 24 to 26 November at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona, closed, in fact, surpassing last year's results: the three-day event recorded over 600 attendance in the hall, with a very large participation of young people, e 542 thousand unique users in live streaming, with more than 1.1 million views on 17 different platforms it's a social reach of 644 thousand people.
Technology, economy, finance, work, society, health, geopolitics, energy and the environment were the themes that outlined the perimeter within which this latest edition of the Festival of the Future developed, which featured over 60 speakers in a total of 20 hours live.
Inevitable constant reference to the current geopolitical situation that is generating new energy balances: security of flows, environmental and social sustainability and cost competitiveness are the three pillars that will be able to lead the country towards energy self-sufficiency, according to Stefano Venier, Chief Executive Officer of Snam.
The conflict, and even before that the pandemic, gave a push in the direction of agri-food self-sufficiency, an issue on which they discussed among others Paolo De Castro, MEP and first vice-president of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, e Alessandro Terzulli, chief economist of Sace.
The prospects of technology were also at the center of the debate, with the metaverse and blockchain in the foreground and the testimonies of those who are already investing in this space, such as Marcus of Syracuse, CEO of PostePay e Stefano DeAlessandri, CEO of ANSA.
Technologies that are integrating in all sectors, including culture, which must become an attractive employment lever for the new generations, as suggested by the Undersecretary for Culture Gianmarco Mazzi. Precisely, young people and the jobs of the future: she intervened on the subject Augusta Montaruli, new university undersecretary who has called for dialogue with the business world for the creation of a skills plan. And for business he answered Laura Dalla Vecchia, president of Confindustria Vicenza, who underlined the many elements of uncertainty present at the moment, which make it difficult for entrepreneurs to make choices. It is the new world (dis)order, within which the Festival has tried to provide a compass for orientation.
